SLOW DOWN WHEN DRIVING IN WINTER CONDITIONS.

Be careful when driving in winter weather!

At around 2:30 pm, BFR units responded with Baldwin Emergency Medical Service and Baldwin Borough Police Department to the 5000 block of Curry Rd for a vehicle crash. The driver was evaluated by Medics and fire units are standing by while Missionary towing removes the vehicle from the roadway. This is the 5th call of the day for your Baldwin Fire Rescue Volunteers, and the 3rd vehicle crash.

Slow down in the snow!

Just after 6 am, BFR was dispatched to report of a vehicle in the creek near Streets Run Rd and Baldwin Rd in Baldwin Boro. The address was later updated to within the City of Pittsburgh near the 885 off ramp. Multiple BFR units, Pittsburgh and Baldwin Borough Police, along with Pittsburgh fire and EMS responded. Fire and EMS Units assisted a individual from the car up a ladder to get them out of the creek. The individual was taken into the care of Pittsburgh EMS and all BFR units cleared without issue. If it wasn’t clear before, we will say it again for you all: SLOW DOWN
