At 3:45 this afternoon, Station 106 and the first alarm assignment were dispatched to Schieck Street in Station 1’s first due area for a reported stove fire. 106 truck crew responded immediately and arrived within 2 minutes of dispatch, confirming a working kitchen fire alongside Deputy 1. Upon arrival, the crew deployed an attack line and utilized the aerial. Engine 116 secured a water supply to 106 truck. Crews successfully achieved a rapid knockdown of the fire, limiting it to the area of origin with minimal spread. Subsequently, Engine 2 and 116 crews inspected the second division for potential extension, finding none, and initiated ventilation.

106 Units on scene:
Truck 1, Engine 1, 2, 3, & 4, Deputy 1, & Assistant Chief.

Thanks to our staffing program crews were able to get a quick knock on the fire and hold it to the area of origin which would not be possible without the support of our borough!

Thank you to all of our mutual aid for their assistance!
