At 3:18 PM, Baldwin Fire Rescue was alerted to a a smell of smoke in the building. 106 Chief arrived on scene with smoke showing from the roof and the call was upgraded to a possible structure fire. Units arrived on scene, made entry to the building and found a working fire in the attic. Once access was made and hose lines were stretched, water was on the fire and it was controlled quickly. Extensive overhaul was performed to make sure all hot spots were extinguished. The fire is currently under investigation by the County Fire Marshall. Many thanks to our mutual aid companies.
